Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. (Romans 12:1)
Prayer enables us to communicate with God and is therefore central to our Christians lives. Prayer is a critical part of all our church services. In addition, our weekly house groups will normally spend part of their session in prayer. During most weeks, we also gather together on Zoom to pray on Thursday mornings from 9-9.30am. Please contact us if you would like the meeting details. We encourage those who would like to, to join Morning and Evening Prayer on Facebook with Church Wigan at 9am and 9pm each day apart from Sunday morning.
Our weekly notices sheet contains prayer requests for those who are sick and for those who have recently lost a loved one, and a list of others we are praying for is available in our churches..
Part of our mission is to pray for you and we are very happy for you contact us with requests for prayer in any of the following ways:
- By phoning the vicarage on 01942 727275
- By filling in our online form
- By emailing prayer@stthomasstluke.org.uk
Our churches have a small team of people who receive prayer requests by email and text and pray for the people who have requested prayer. If you would like to be part of this important ministry then please contact us with your email address.
