Giving

Your giving matters more than ever. Our churches are dependent on the your generosity never more so than now. We are doing everything we can to offer help to those who need it through our through our support of the asylum seekers and the food pantry and at the same time continuing to provide all of the  functions of an active parish church.

As a part of Church Wigan, we have a commitment to meet our portion of the parish share as well as meeting the regular expenses of a large parish. In addition to one off donations  we do need to take the opportunity to renew our giving.  Each of us can ask the Lord how we can give financially as part of St Thomas’s and St Luke’s.  This may be the opportunity to begin a regular pattern of giving,  or to review and increase the amount we can contribute to the life and work of our church. We need your support so that we can  continue with our work here in the community of Ashton in Makerfield.

Everything we do at St Thomas and St Luke is made possible by your giving, Thank You.

Messy Church

Thursday November 30th
St Thomas’ Church Hall 3.30-5pm

We’ve got all sorts planned

Messy Church is really relaxed and fun. You walk around the different activity tables choosing which you would like to join in with. Someone will explain what you need to do and the grownup who is with you will give you a hand if you need it (all under 11s need an adult with them).

At 4.30 we all get together for our celebration time and then we have chicken wraps at 4.45 followed by Christmas muffins you will have decorated yourself earlier!

Come along and find out more about how all these activities point us to Jesus at Christmas time.

If you want to know more (or you have special dietary needs) then please contact Sue (07877 704645 / sue@stthomasandstlukesch.apps-1and1.net)
