Here at St. Thomas’ and St Luke’s we have an active and vibrant Men’s group who meet together on a regular basis.

The aims of the group are as follows:

1. To introduce men to the person of Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Gospel.

2. To provide fellowship, with other Christian men, enabling discipleship and growth.

The men’s group offer the following meetings:

Breakfasts: (monthly) take place on a Saturday morning from 8.30am  – 9.45am. (a full cooked breakfast and usually a guest speaker or topical activity)

Mid Week meetings: (monthly) take place during the week and usually involve a meal, various activities and/or a guest speaker.

Beer and Curry evenings: The evenings take place at the Mahabarat Indian Restaurant in Hindley on the first Monday of each month. (7.30pm onwards) These evenings take place in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. They are for men who are interested in learning more about the person of Jesus Christ and exploring the Christian faith. The format for the evenings begins with a topical general knowledge quiz whilst enjoying a refreshing drink. During the meal we read from a passage from one of the Gospels. Open discussion and questions follow. Everyone’s views are received and respected. These evenings are open to all; those interested in exploring the Christian faith, cynics, doubters and non believers, your views are all welcome.

For specific dates of meetings please refer to the church website or the church notice sheets.
